Result: Germany 2-3 England
Date: 26 March 2016
England came back from two goals down to secure a 3-2 win over Germany in an international friendly at Olympiastadion.
The home side dictated the tempo from the onset, with England happy to sit back and catch the Germans on the counter.
The World Champions did have the ball in the back of the net in the 27th minute, but Mario Gomez's effort was flagged for offside.
The hosts were not to be denied just before the halftime break, courtesy of a fine left-footed effort from Toni Kroos. Although, Jack Butland could have done better.
England were dealt blow on the stroke of halftime when Butland picked up a knock and was forced off.
Manuel Neuer was called into action fives minutes into the second half, as he got down well to keep out Dele Alli's effort from 20-yards out.
However, it was Germany who doubled their advantage in the 56th minute as Gomez rose well to head home Sami Khedira's cross.
Roy Hodgson hit back a few minutes later when Harry Kane did well to evade two challenges, before firing a low effort past Neuer.
The visitors then leveled matters in the 74th minute as Jamie Vardy turned home Nathaniel Clyne's cross with a superb flick at the near post.
England squandered a golden chance to take the lead in the 83rd minute when Vardy teed up Alli with the goal at his mercy, however the young midfielder placed his effort over the crossbar.
However, the visitors did secure the win in stoppage time thanks to a towering header from Eric Dier to complete an impressive comeback for the Three Lions.
