Zambia & Lesotho Advance To COSAFA Cup Semis

Botswana 1-2 Zambia

Zambia progressed to the semi-finals of the COSAFA Cup, after recording a 2-1 win over Botswana on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Zambians opened the scoring after just 10 minutes courtesy of a strike from Boyd Mwila, before Justin Shonga doubled the lead in the 70th minute.
 
Botswana had a chance reduced the deficit from the penalty spot but Thabang Sesinyi failed to convert his penalty.
 
Kabelo Seakanyeng did pull a goal back in the 79th minute, but Zambia managed to hold on for the win.
 
Namibia 0 (4) - (5) 0 Lesotho 
 
Lesotho advanced to the semi-finals of the competition, after defeating Namibia 5-4 on penalties after it ended goalless after 90 minutes.
 
Zambia will face the winner of the match between South Africa, while Lesotho take on the winner of Swaziland vs Zimbabwe.
 
Meanwhile, Botswana and Namibia fall into the Plate section
