The Copa Libertadores final has been delayed after Boca Juniors' bus was attacked by River Plate supporters.
The game is scheduled to take place at River’s El Monumental stadium has been delayed for a total of two hours for safety concerns.
According to Squawka, police had to use tear gas and pepper spray to stop the rival supporters from attacking Boca's team bus.
Certain players from the Boca team were taken to hospital due to injury and the affects from the tear gas.
Boca's captain Pablo Perez has also been ruled out of the match due to an eye injury he sustained from the attack on the bus.
Despite the all the off-field issues, the second leg encounter is still expected to go ahead, with the tie posed at 2-2 following last week's first leg.
