Barcelona thrashed Elche 4-0 to secure their spot in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals on Thursday night.
With Barca coming into the second leg leading 5-0 on aggregate, Luis Enrique opted to rest most of his star players, with Pedro, Adriano and Jeremy Mathieu the only senior players in the starting line-up.
The visitors got off to a slow start but opened the scoring in the 21st minute courtesy of a wonderful free-kick from Mathieu.
Barca then doubled their lead in the 40th minute and it was another fine strike, this time Sergi Roberto curling home an effort from 25-yards out.
The Catalan giants added a third just before the halftime break, as Pedro converted from the penalty spot, after Adriano was brought down in the box.
Enrique made a couple more changes in the second half bringing on Douglas and Alen Halilovic, with the latter hitting the post minutes after coming on for his first team debut.
Adriano rounded off the scoring in the 90th minute, the Brazilian got on the end of Douglas' cross to head home Barca's fourth of the night.
Barca claimed a 9-0 aggregate win over Elche and move onto the quarterfinals, where they will face Atletico Madrid.
