A former FC Barcelona player has signed for a club in an African country considered to be among the worst footballing nations on the continent.

Ex-Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder Alexandre Song has joined Djibouti club Arta/Solar7, just a few months after being sacked by Switzerland side FC Sion.
"It's a coup for Djiboutian football," Spanish outlet Marca quoted the club as saying in a statement, while the player himself said: "It's an opportunity to promote local football."
The ex-Cameroon international last played for his country in 2014, at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and last belonged to a club in a top five European league in 2016.
Song rose to prominence after signing for Arsenal from Bastia in 2005, and spent seven years on the London club's books before joining the Catalan club.
