Cote D'Ivoire Stun Hosts Namibia
Cote D'Ivoire picked up their first win in the tournament with a 3-1 victory over hosts, Namibia, on Tuesday evening.
The visitors opened the scoring after 13 minutes, thanks Nahi Josee's finish from three-yards out, after the ball had rebounded off the crossbar.
Zenatha Coleman leveled matters for Namibia in the 20th minute, the striker managed to lob the Ivorian goalkeeper from 35-yards out.
Both sides were frustrated by the woodwork on numerous occasions throughout the 90 minutes.
However, Tia Viho Ines came to the Ivorian's rescue in the 84th minute, as she fired home from close range to give her side the lead.
Viho Ines then sealed the win deep into stoppage with a fine glancing header for 11th goal in 13 appearances for her country.
In the other Group A clash, Nigeria proved too strong for Zambia, as the Super Falcons ran out 6-0 winners on Tuesday afternoon.
A brace from Desire Oparanozie and further strikes from Ngozi Okobi, Ohale Osinachi, Asisat Oshoala and Perpetua Nkwocha saw the Nigerians claim a big win and move to the top of Group A.
