World champions, Germany were in a rampant mood as they thrashed San Marino 7-0 in their 2018 World Cup qualifier on Saturday evening.
Julian Draxler opened the scoring for Die Mannschaft after 11 minutes. The away side failed to clear their lines under pressure and the Paris Saint-Germain forward was at the right place at the right time to grab the lead inside the box, 1-0.
The lead was doubled in the 16th minute, as Sandro Wagner made a brilliant run into the box and connected well with a cross by Joshua Kimmich on the right flank to head home the second goal of the match.
Wagner made it 3-0 in the 29th minute for the Germans with a simple finish from close range, following some good work from Draxler.
In the 38th minute Amin Younes extended the lead to 4-0 as San Marino again failed to clear their lines with a header from close range.
The match went into the interval with Joachim Low's side cruising to a 4-0 lead over Pierangelo Manzaroli's boys.
Two minutes into the second-half the Titans conceded yet another sloppy goal as Shkodran Mustafi got on the end of a loose ball inside the box to make it 5-0.
After a quiet period, Germany grabbed a sixth goal in the 72nd minute with Bayer Leverkusen's Julain Brandt heading home from close range.
Wagner completed his hat-trick to make it 7-0 in the 85th minute by guiding home Joshua Kimmich's cross.
