Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder played starring roles, as Netherlands thumped Luxembourg 5-0 in their 2018 World Cup qualifier.
The home side nearly went ahead after just two minutes, but Schon produced a superb save to deny Arjen Robben from point-blank range.
Netherlands eventually broke the deadlock in the 21st minute as Robben broke through on goal and sent a composed beyond Schone from close range.
The lead was doubled in the 34th minute through Wesley Sneijder, who did well to create space before driving the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Jasper Cillessen was called into action as the Netherlands shot-stopper produced a super save to deny Sebastien from close range.
The home side continued to threaten upon resumption in the second half, as Robben went close to scoring in the opening 10 minutes.
The Dutch eventually grabbed a third goal in the 62nd minute as poor clearance landed at the feet of Georginio Wijnaldum, who calmly slotted home with a smart finish.
It was 4-0 in the 70th minute when Quincy Promes rose well to head home Stefan De Vrij impressive cross from the right.
Netherlands nearly grabbed a fifth goal in the 76th minute through De Vrij, who managed to head wide of the upright from close range.
Dick Advocaat's charges managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease as they ran out 4-0 winners.
