Cristiano Ronaldo bagged two goals and an assist to inspire Portugal to a 3-0 win over Latvia in their 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday evening.
Ronaldo returned to the Selecao line-up after missing out on last week's friendly, while Bernardo Silva was also included in the line-up.
After a quiet opening, Portugal nearly broke the deadlock through Ronaldo, but the Real Madrid striker's long range effort was palmed away by Vanins.
Latvia had a good chance to take a surprising lead after 32 minutes but Kazacoks blazed over the crossbar from close range.
Portugal eventually broke the deadlock in the 41st minute as Ronaldo slotted home from close range, after Jose Fonte's header crashed against upright.
The score remained 1-0 to the visitors at the halftime break.
Selecao opted for a change 10 minutes into the second half, as Ricardo Quaresma replaced Gelson Martins as they pushed for a second goal.
Portugal's second goal eventually arrived in the 63rd minute as Quaresma's deflected cross landed in the path of Ronaldo, who headed into an empty net.
It was 3-0 four minutes as Ronaldo turned provider to pick out Andre Silva, who calmly slotted home for his seventh international goal in eight caps.
The visitors introduced the likes of Semedo and Luis Nani for the final 15 minutes, as they looked to see out the closing stages with relative ease.
Nevertheless, the score remained 3-0 to the European champions at the final whistle.
