Italy proved too strong for Liechtenstein. as they romped to a 5-0 win in their 2018 World Cup qualifier on Sunday evening.
The Italians looked lively in the opening exchanges and went close through Antonio Candreva and Ciro Immobile in the opening 10 minutes.
After a quiet period in the half, Italy eventually broke the deadlock in the 35th minute as Lorenzo Insigne found the back of the net with a superb volley.
The visitors, on the other hand, struggled to offer anything in attack, as it proved a relative easy first half for Gianluigi Buffon.
Jhele came to Liechtenstein's rescue on the stroke of half time, as he produced a fine save to keep out Chiellini's effort over the crossbar.
The Italians eventually doubled their lead in the 52nd minute as Insigne's through-ball found Andrea Belotti, who managed to slot into the top corner from close range.
Eder Martins replaced Immobile in the 67th minute, and the substitute made the perfect impact as he bagged Italy's third goal in the 74th minute.
With Italy comfortably leading, Belotti was withdrawn for Manolo Gabbiadini for the final 15 minutes.
The home side managed to get a fourth goal in the 82nd minute courtesy of a strike from Federico Bernardeschi, with Chiellini picking up the assist.
Gabbiadini rounded off the scoring in stoppage time with a simple finish into the bottom corner, after being teed up Leonardo Spinazzola.
