Georgia 0-1 Wales
Wales maintained their hopes of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup with a narrow away win at Georgia on Friday evening.
Tom Lawrence sealed a 1-0 crucial win for Gareth-Bale-less Wales who continued to punch above their weight in their quest to reach the World Cup finals in Russia.
The result has put Chris Coleman's charges firmly on second place in Group D, only one point behind group leaders Serbia who slipped to a 3-2 defeat away to Austria.
Wales were on a charge to qualify to Russia via a play-off by finishing second on the group but the defeat of Serbia means they can seal an automatic qualification in the last match should the Serbians fail to register a win.
Austria 3-2 Serbia
Serbia went down 3-2 to Austria to put their World Cup qualification in danger with one game to play.
Luka Milivojevic opened the scoring for Serbia in the 11th minute but only for Guido Burgstaller to equalise for the hosts in the 25th minute. Marko Arnautovic sent Austria ahead in the 76th minute but Nemanja Matic restored parity in the 83rd minute.
Louis Schaub sealed the win for Austria one minute before time.
Republic of Ireland 2 -0 Moldova
The Republic of Ireland continued their push for a play-off spot after recording a 2-0 win over Moldova.
Daryl Murphy was the hero on the night by bagging a brace as the Irish sit in third spot, one point behind second place Wales.
Other results:
Turkey 0 - 3 Iceland
