Manchester United have already confirmed several departures ahead of the coming campaign, but Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard are arguably three of the biggest names set for exits.
While Pogba is reportedly close to completing a free-transfer return to Juventus, it seems both Cavani and Lingard might have to wait a little longer before finding new clubs.
The Uruguayan has been linked with teams in Italy and Spain, while Lingard is reportedly being pursued by West Ham United, where he enjoyed a successful six-month loan spell in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign.
As of 1 July, Pogba, Cavani and Lingard will all be unattached, and the same can be said of France international Ousmane Dembele. The 25-year-old reportedly has plans to stay at Barcelona, but will technically be without a club when Friday arrives.
Angel Di Maria, Luis Suarez and Juventus No. 10 Paulo Dybala are in the same boat, with their futures still to be resolved. While Di Maria looks likely to join Juventus for the coming season, Suarez has been tipped for a return to South America.
Dybala, meanwhile, is expected to stay in Italy. AC Milan and Inter Milan have been credited with interest in the 28-year-old's services after it was confirmed by the Bianconeri that he will not be extending his stay in Turin.
