12 Players In The Shadows Of Their Famous Brothers

Paul Pogba and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are two superstars of the current game, but both have brothers who are somewhat playing in the shadows of their siblings – here are 12 brother pairings in which one is not as successful as the other.

Pogba actually has two brothers who are also footballers. The Frenchman is one of the most expensive players in the history of the game, and has already lifted 10 trophies in his career so far.

Meanwhile, his brothers Mathias, who is currently without a club, and Florentin, who plays for Genclerbirligi, have also made a living out of playing football, but never reached the status of their younger sibling.

Arsenal's Aubameyang also has two brothers who have tried their luck in football. Similarly to Pierre-Emerick, Catilina and Willy played for AC Milan's youth teams but never quite made it to the top, and are currently both without a club.

Samuel Eto'o is Africa's most decorated footballer to date, and the former Cameroon international also has two brothers – David and Etienne – who are also footballers or at least tried to become one. While Etienne, who is the youngest of the trio, never made it at any top-level club and hung up his boots in 2012, David at least carved out a career in the game, with the journeyman having run out for 16 different clubs.
