It's quite rare to see Serie A giants linked with a player from Burnley, but there have quite a few players from England's smaller clubs to have made the surprising switch to bigger sides in Europe.
One transfer that caught many by surprise was Julian Faubert's move to Real Madrid from West Ham United on loan in 2009.
The Frenchman only went on to make two appearances for Los Blancos while there were also reports he fell asleep on the bench and missed training by mistake.
Juventus also surprised their supporters and the football world when they signed Nicklas Bendtner from Arsenal on loan during the 2012/2013.
It came as a surprise to many as Bendtner had been on loan at Sunderland the previous season but he only made two starts for the Old Lady.
Manchester United have been known to make some bad signings in recent seasons, but their signing of Portuguese winger Bebe in 2010 raised eyebrows, as Sir Alex Ferguson had not seen the winger play before.
