It has been a difficult start to the 2020/21 campaign for many managers, who, by the end of the calendar year, might just be hoping to still be in their jobs.
With Real Madrid fourth in LaLiga, Zidane does not appear to be fighting to hang on to his role just yet, but reports in Spain do suggest the French manager will not have it easy if his side's inconsistency continues.
Although three losses in 11 matches across all competitions might not mean things have reached the point of a crisis, but Los Blancos' 4-1 league defeat to Valencia this past weekend did show there are cracks in Zidane's side. Defensively, Real have been poor this season, having kept just three clean sheets across all platforms, with their last one coming more than a month ago.
Pep Guardiola, with just three wins in seven Premier League matches so far in this campaign, has a dark cloud hanging over him at Manchester City currently, piling on the misery of his team's disappointing UEFA Champions League exit last season at the hands of Olympique Lyon.
While there have been no suggestions that he could be fired, the Spanish tactician will be under pressure to begin picking up three points more regularly in the coming weeks, as will his rival Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, who occupy 14th place in the EPL at the moment.
In France, Paris Saint-Germain boss Tuchel finds himself under the cosh once again, but mainly for his team's performances in Europe's biggest club competition. Unfortunately for the German, getting to last season's final might not mean much to the board anymore, especially with PSG having lost two of their first three matches in the tournament this time around.
