Starting XI: Chile v Australia

World Cup
Group B
Teams: Chile v Australia
Date: 12 June 2014
Venue: Arena Pantanal
Chile begin their World Cup campaign at Arena Pantanal when they take on Australia on Friday.
This is the eighth time the Chilean's have participated in the World Cup, with their best finish in a tournament coming in 1962 when they finished in third place.
La Roja managed to managed to get to the round of 16 at the 2010 edition, finishing behind Spain in Group H but were eventually beaten 3-0 by Brazil in the knockout round.
Jorge Sampaoli will look to La Liga based forwards, Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas, to bang home the goals, while it remains to be seen if Juventus midfielder,  Aturo Vidal, will be fit in time.
Australia have qualified for their third straight World Cup and are looking to go one better than they did in 2006, after losing to Italy in the round of 16.
Although, the Socceroos failed to win any of their three warm-up matches, losing to Croatia and Ecuador, while they drew 1-1 with 2010 hosts, South Africa.
Angelos Postecoglou will be hoping 34-year-old, Tim Cahill, can still find the back of net, while Crystal Palace's Mile Jedinak will anchor the Socceros midfield.
Australia have never beaten Chile in any competition, drawing one and losing three so far.
Here is how they line up:
Chile: Bravo, Mena, Isla, Sanchez, Vidal, Valdivia, Vargas, Medel, Jara, Aranguiz, Diaz
Australia: Ryan, Franjic, Davidson, Spiranovic, Wilkinson, Leckie, Oar, Miligan ,Jedinak, Bresciano, Cahill
