SL World Cup Team Of The Week

Soccer Laduma brings you the country's most prestigious and authoritative 'Team of the Week' - today our first World Cup edition.
 
This week's selection is based on performances from the first round of the World Cup matches. Hosts Brazil started off with 3-1 victory, while defending champions Spain were thrashed 5-1 by the Dutch.
 
England lost 2-1 to Italy and Costa Rica surprised Uruguay by beating them 3-1. Argentina beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1, and Germany hammered Portugal 4-0.
 
The Ivory Coast got Africa's only victory, while Ghana, Cameroon and Algeria lost, and Nigeria was held to a goalless draw.
