Jose Mourinho believes the World Cup will not be the same without some of football’s top stars.
The Chelsea manager told Yahoo! That Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gareth Bale will be missed during the spectacle in Brazil after their teams failed to qualify.
Last week, a knee injury has ruled out Barcelona goalkeeper, Victor Valdes, and yesterday the World Cup hopes of Belgian striker, Christian Benteke, were ended by a serious Achilles injury.
Radamel Falcao and Theo Walcott are also among the top players who will miss football’s biggest tournament, but Mourinho is particularly disappointed ‘the best goalkeeper in the world (Peter Cech)’ will also not be in Brazil.
"In every World Cup there are a few big players that everyone would like to see there, and for different reasons they aren't there," Mourinho said.
"Zlatan? Everybody would love to see him there, but Sweden couldn't make it.
"Gareth Bale is another fantastic player that I think everybody would enjoy seeing there, but Wales also couldn't qualify.
"There are others. I have in my team the best goalkeeper in the world (Cech) and he's not at the World Cup."
