Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, has continued his World Cup predictions and came up with a final between Portugal and England.
In his role as ambassador for Yahoo Sports, Mourinho had previously picked the heads of the group stages at the World Cup in Brazil and has now turned his focus on the knockout stage.
On the winners of the Round of 16, who will meet each other in the quarter-final, he said: “I would say Brazil against England, and France against Germany. And I will say Spain against Italy, and Argentina against Portugal.
“I think for this kind of quarter-final the world stops. A real picture like this would be amazing.
“From this moment, I have to find a surprise.”
At this point he added, though, that he is not trying to predict a true picture but rather have a little fun. That is why he came up with some strange sounding predictions.
Mourinho’s first semi-final is Germany against England:
“I would say Germany, and if England arrive at this stage, they are going to make something crazy (like eliminating Brazil)."
His second semi-final turns into Italy against Portugal:
“Because Italy killed Spain in the last final, in the European Cup, I would say revenge for Italy. And Argentina against Portugal. If I want to have holidays in Portugal in peace, I have to say Portugal.”
Mourinho’s final may sound strange, but listen to the video to find out his World Cup champion.
“People will say, I’m doing this to finish with Portugal and England in the final, so I can work in peace in England and I be in peace in Portugal in the holiday, so England vs Portugal in the final.”
