Mourinho Predicts WC Group Stage

Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, has picked his 16 teams to make it out of the World Cup group stages.

In his role as Yahoo’s global football ambassador, he predicted the top two sides for each group in Brazil.

Group A: “I would say Brazil wins the group and I really don’t know which one of these three teams can be the second,” he started with his predictions.

Group B: "Obviously Spain, for everything they did in the past six years winning all three big competitions they have played.”

“I'm very emotional, I go always with my friends, so if my friend manages the Netherlands I go with them," Mourinho went on, since he and Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal worked together at Barcelona in the late '90s.

Group C: “Again, I’m with my friends. I would see Greece and Ivory Coast to do it,” he said based on his strong bounds to Didier Drogba.

Group D: “One of three very important team will be out, will be hurt and this one I refuse to say. If I say England out, next season they don't let me coach here (at Chelsea)."

Group E: "I don't believe in another collapse for France. By quality, France has qualify as group winners,” with Switzerland edging out Ecuador for the second spot.

Group F: “Argentina has to be the group winner and what makes me decide for Nigeria is the fact that I have there one player,” referring to John Obi Mikel.

Group G: “Very difficult group. Germany first, Portugal runner-up, but I’m afraid of US,” he added fearing an upset for his home country Portugal.

Group H: “I think Belgium has the talent. I would say Russia first, Belgium second.”
