Kaka Eyeing WC And Could Leave Milan

Former Ballon d’Or winner, Kaka, is still hopeful to be in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s World Cup squad.

The Brazilian, who scored a brace in a 3-0 win over Chievo on Saturday in his 300th game for Milan, has only featured in five games for the Selecao since the 2010 World Cup, but is dreaming to play the tournament in his home country.

"There's still time for the World Cup. I just have to keep playing well with Milan,” he said.

"On May 7 the squad will be announced, and I believe I'm still in with a chance."

Meanwhile, Kaka’s future at the Rossonieri seems uncertain after AC Milan CEO, Adriano Galliani, has confirmed that Kaka has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave San Siero on a free transfer, if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League.

“Kaká has a contract until 2015. If we don't make the 2014/15 Champions League, he has the option to leave,” Galliani told Gazetta dello Sport.

“We hope he doesn't. He'll decide, not us.”

Kaka is rumoured to join Major League Soccer club, Orlando City. According to reports the 31-year-old has a verbal agreement with MLS franchise, which is owned by a personal friend of Kaka.

The player himself confirmed: “One day I’d like to play in the United States.”

Milan are currently eleventh in the Seria A, six points behind the Europa League places and 19 points behind Napoli in the first Champions League qualifying spot.

After a disappointed four-year stint at Real Madrid, Kaka has returned to San Siro at the beginning of the season, but wasn't able to prevent the club's disappointing campaign.

“I don’t regret returning for even a moment,” he added.

“The reception I got was even more affectionate than I expected, but the season hasn’t gone as well as expected. But I see the crisis as a chance to grow.”

Kaka fights with the likes of Willian, Oscar, Ramires and Bernard for his place in the Selecao.
