With the official announcement of La Furia Roja's squad expected to take place on Monday afternoon, Spanish radio station Cope believes Julen Lopetegui will snub former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, along with midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

There are claims that the manager has opted to go with Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas instead of the Chelsea attacker, who has just come off an inconsistent season with the Blues.

Fabregas is another high-profile star who has apparently not done enough to warrant a place in Lopetegui's 23-man squad, as are Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin and Bayern Munich's Javi Martinez.

The Spanish radio station believes Atletico Madrid frontman Diego Costa will be the man trusted to lead the line for the 2010 World Cup winners, and may be accompanied by Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez.
