Premier League outfit Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of sacking Antonio Conte, and have apparently struck an agreement with his potential replacement.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are close to confirming former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri as their next manager, although Conte's future remains up in the air.

Sarri, 59, who it is believed will sign a two-year deal with the Stamford Bridge side, is apparently planning on moving into the club's Cobham training ground, where there is a luxury five-bedroom house on the premises.

The Italian is said to feel that staying in and around the club will help him to settle in quickly ahead of the team's pre-season training, which starts on 9 July.

It would not be the first time a Chelsea manager has stayed in the house – former manager Andre Villas-Boas did the same following his arrival in June 2011, when he replaced Carlo Ancelotti.

Sarri is expected to arrive in London in the next 24 hours to complete the deal, with the EPL side wanting to start doing business in the transfer window.

Conte is expected to be relieved of his duties by club owner Roman Abramovich this week, despite winning the Premier League title and FA Cup during his two years in charge of the team so far.
