With Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus looking ever so likely, Marca suggest that Los Blancos are searching for an immediate replacement for the Portuguese winger and have two players in mind.
The publication believes Neymar remains the Madrid side's main objective in this window, but if they cannot manage to break PSG’s resolve, then they will turn their attention to Chelsea and Belgium winger Eden Hazard.
The report says the 27-year-old’s "pace, dribbling, incisiveness, brilliance and experience at a big European club” has put the Belgian on an equal footing with many other global stars, and Real now see him as good "plan B” should they fail to sign the former FC Barcelona forward.
Hazard, who is his national team’s captain, has shown signs that he can produce world-class performances at international level this year as he has played a vital role in Belgium’s World Cup campaign in Russia until now.
The former Lille star moved to Stamford Bridge in 2012 for a reported fee of €35 million (R553 million), and has scpred 89 goals in 300 appearances for the Blues.
