The forward, who is set to complete his move to the Santiago Bernabeu in July, cost Los Blancos a reported fee of €45 million (R716 million) as they fended off the likes of Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.
In what seemed to be his final press conference with his boyhood club Flamengo, the youngster revealed that he would like to follow in the footsteps of Ronaldo Nazario and Ronaldinho.
"I am saying goodbye to the club that I love very much, I am going after more dreams in my life," Vinicius said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.
"All people who love me are always by my side. I managed to realise my dream here in Flamengo. To end happy with the fans screaming my name, in the crowded Maracana, I leave here honoured and delighted.
"I am saying goodbye to the club that did everything for me to fulfil my dream of playing for Real Madrid.
"I am dreaming of doing the same as Ronaldo and Ronaldinho in Spain. The biggest challenge will be tactical, but I can improve and turn into a great player."
Vinicius made 16 appearances for Flamengo in 2017/18 season, scoring six goals and assisting a further three strikes.
