Highest Value XI In The 2018 World Cup

With the 2018 FIFA World Cup just days away, we have decided to bring you a starting XI consisting of the highest valued players in the competition.

Manchester United and Spain goalkeeper David de Gea, said to have a worth of €70 million (R1.08 billion), is the highest valued shot-stopper in the competition this year.

Real Madrid and Brazil international Barcelona is at left back in the starting XI as he is valued at €60 million (R931 million), the same as his club teammate and Spain defender Dani Carvajal, who is at right back.

At centre-back, France international Raphael Varane is the highest valued defender at the World Cup at €70 million (R1.08 billion), while his partner Mats Hummels, from Germany, is said to be worth €60 million (R939 million).

In the three-man midfield, Manchester City and Belgium playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is the highest valued star. The Belgian has a value of €150 million (R2.32 billion) and is joined by Argentine’s Paulo Dybala, who is worth €110 million (R1.70 billion) and France’s Paul Pogba, valued at €90 million (R1.39 billion).

Up front, we see Brazil superstar Neymar and Argentina captain Lionel Messi get picked on the two flanks, with both players said to be worth €180 million (R2.79 billion), while England striker Harry Kane sees his value set at €150 million (R2.32 billion).
