Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has seen some of his performances for club and country heavily criticised in recent months, but a France star has revealed the influence the midfielder has in France’s dressing room.
The former Juventus star has had a bit of an inconsistent 2017/18 season by his standards and has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, after reportedly butting heads with his club manager Jose Mourinho.
France winger Thomas Lemar has come out and backed Pogba, despite his critics, claiming that he is one of the leaders in Les Bleu change room.
“He is leading us all, he is smiling, he is also giving is good advice,” Lemar said of the Manchester United man.
“He is a guy who likes to take responsibilities, and he is doing it well in this tournament.
“I hope it will go on like that for him and us in the competition.”
The 26-year-old has played two games at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and has assisted in one goal until now.
