Argentina have sacked manager Jorge Sampaoli, following the nation's poor 2018 World Cup campaign.
The South Americans scraped through group stage phase after a win over Nigeria, but they were eliminated in the round of 16 by eventual champions France.
As a result, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) have decided to relieve Sampaoli of his duties as manager.
A statement on the AFA's website read," On the day of the date, the Argentine Football Association and Jorge Sampaoli reached a mutual agreement to finish their cycle under the Argentine National Team.
Today, the Argentine Football Association and the former national team coach, Jorge Sampaoli, have mutually agreed to the termination of their contract. Likewise, the Physical Trainer, Jorge Desio and the video analyst, Matías Manna, also disassociated themselves.
