When thinking of best players to have worn the No.11 shirt, one player cannot be missed and that’s Germany’s Miroslav Klose.

The retired striker is the player with most goals in World Cup history, netting his final and 16th in Die Mannschaft’s 7-1 rout over Brazil at the tournament in 2014. He is only one of three players to have scored at four different World Cup tournaments and retired as Germany’s all-time record scorer with 69 strikes.

Brazil legend Romario ran the show for the Selecao at the 1994 tournament in the United States. He scored five goals on Brazil’s way to their fourth title and won the Golden Ball as Player of the Tournament. Overall, he netted 55 goals for Brazil, with only Ronaldo de Lima (62) and Pele (77) having scored more.

Didier Drogba was another legendary player to have worn the No.11 jersey. He guided the Ivory Coast to their first ever World Cup in 2006 and scored his country's first ever World Cup goal at that tournament. He also captained Ivory Coast at the 2010 and 2014 versions.
