Croatia and Denmark will battle it out for a spot in the quarterfinals at the 2018 World Cup this afternoon.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 20h00.
The Vatreni have started the competition on a high note playing some sensational football en route to topping Group D .
The Croatians started their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Nigeria, before thumping Argentina 3-0, while they rounded the group with a 2-1 win over Iceland.
Zlatko Dalic’s charges have been tipped to do better than the third place finish they achieved at the 1998 World Cup in France following their vibrant group phase display.
Meanwhile, the Danes will relish the tag of underdogs as they will want to cause an upset.
The Scandinavians emerged as runner-up in Group C with five points with the 1-0 win over Peru in their first match proving crucial. Their second match was a 1-1 draw with Australia before they finish the group phase with a goalless draw against France.
Their tally of only two goals scored is the lowest of the 16 teams left in the competition although they remain unbeaten.
The Danes’ best ever achievement at the World Cup was reaching the quarter-finals in France 1998.
