Building up to the World Cup, the Three Lions played two warm-up games, beating Nigeria 2-1 at Wembley and then Costa Rica 2-0 at Elland Road.
They will go into this match with an impressive record over African opposition in this tournament, having won three and drawn three matches.
Southgate will be relying on the likes of Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Manchester City's Raheem Sterling to get the goals in this fixture, while Marcus Rashford and Jamie Vardy could come on from the bench if necessary.
The Eagles of Carthage have had good preparation of their own in the build-up to the showpiece. The managed to draw 2-2 with both Turkey and Portugal, but lost 1-0 to Spain in their final game before making their way to Russia.
Tunisia is also the first African side to win a match in the history of the competition, back in the 1978 finals, which were held in Mexico.
The last time Tunisia and England met was in a group stage game at the 1998 World Cup, which the Three Lions won 2-0.
