Teams: Serbia vs Brazil
Date: 27 June 2018
Venue: Otkritie Arena
The Selecao won the World Cup in 1958, 1962 and 1970 when Pele was the star of the team, as well as in 1994 and 2002. However, their dreams of lifting a sixth trophy as hist foru years ago were crushed by Germany in the semi-final.
This time around, they again belong to the favourites after becoming the first team to qualify for the tournament in Russia. Brazil lost just one game throughout the South American qualification campaign, but somewhat surprisingly struggled so far.
Serbia, meanwhile, need all three points in order to have a chance of progressing. The European side only lost one game during their qualification campaign, but have since collected three defeats in their last six matches.
Here is how the two teams will line up:
Brazil: Alisson, Fágner, Silva, Miranda, Marcelo; Paulinho, Casemiro, Coutinho; Willian, Gabriel Jesus, Neymar
Serbia: Stojkovic, Rukavina, Ivanovic, Tosic, Kolarov, Radonjic, Matic, Tadic, Ljajic, Kostic, Mitrovic
