Steven Gerrard is a relieved man after a bruising friendly against Honduras in their final warm-up game which ended 0-0.
The England skipper was frustrated at the physicality of the Honduras players, who had Brayan Beckeles sent off for two bookable offences in the second-half.
Gerrard also blasted the performance of the referee but admitted that he was relieved that they did not pick up any injuries ahead of their World Cup opener against Italy.
"I thought there were some horrific tackles for a friendly," he told ITV.
"I got caught with a bad one.”
"I think if you look at the chances we had the better, but we're quite frustrated.”
"I'm quite frustrated. I thought the ref was poor, the game was interrupted, there was a big one in the first half and they were doing stupid fouls. There was no rhythm; we're frustrated but relieved at no injuries."
"I don't understand referees who see balls kicked into stomachs and not send them off.”
"A lot of the boys are frustrated but we've got a week to go to get ready."
