Italy Overtake Dutch With Slender Win

Netherlands 0-1 Italy

Italy claimed their first UEFA Nations League victory with a slender win over Netherlands at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

The Italians started the campaign with a 1-1 draw against Bonisa-Herzegovina while the Dutch edged Poland last week.

The game only produced one goal, with Nico Barella rising above Nathan Ake to head past Jasper Cillessen to secure three points for Roberto Mancini.

The win sent the Azzurri top of Group 1 in League A while the Netherlands dropped to third spot.

Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-2 Poland

Poland also got their maiden victory in Group 1 after rallying from behind to defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina at Stadion Bilino Polje.

Haris Hajradinović got the hosts off to the perfect start after opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the 24th minute.

Kamil Glik pulled Poland level on the stroke of halftime before Kamil Grosicki secured the winning goal after 65 minutes.
