OGC Nice proved too strong for Vitesse, as they registered a 3-0 win at the Allianz Riviera on Thursday evening.
Alassane Plea bagged a brace on the night, while Allan Saint-Maximin also got on the score-sheet for the home side.
Thulani Serero played 78 minute for the Dutch Eredivisie outfit.
AC Milan 3-2 Rijeka
AC Milan maintained their winning start, after recording a 3-2 win over Rijeka at the San Siro.
The hosts raced into a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Andre Silva and Mateo Musacchio.
The visitors hit back with two goals from Boadu Maxwell Acosty and Josip Elez, before Patrick Cutrone netted the winner for Milan in stoppage time.
Everton 2-2 Apollon
Everton's winless start to the campaign continued after they drew 2-2 with Apollon at Goodison Park.
The visitors took the lead after 12 minutes courtesy of a strike from Adrián Sardinero. Wayne Rooney leveled matters in the 21st minute before new signing Nikola Vlasic netted the winning goal in the 66th minute.
However, Apollon managed to clinch a point thanks to a 88th minute equaliser from Héctor Yuste.
