English giants Liverpool are set to take on Villarrreal in the semi-finals of this season's UEFA Europa League.
The competition is now down to the final four, and for Liverpool and Sevilla, it is their only realistic chance of claiming a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.
This campaign was the first in which the winners of the previous edition gained automatic entry into the next season's Champions League – reigning champions Sevilla nabbed that berth despite finishing fifth in La Liga in 2014/15.
Liverpool knocked out Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in the previous round and will now face Villarreal, while Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk will take on reigning champions Sevilla in their semi-final.
Here is how the semi-final draw unfolded:
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Sevilla
Villarreal vs Liverpool
The first legs of the semi-finals will be played on 28 April, with the return fixtures taking place on 5 May.
The final will take place on 18 May in Basel, Switzerland.
