Club Brugge 1-5 Manchester City
Manchester City were in a rampant mood after thrashing Club Brugge 5-1 in a Group A UEFA Champions League encounter in Brugge.
Ederson was back in the squad after missing the weekend's Premier League clash, while Riyad Mahrez was also handed a start.
After a quiet start, the Citizens opened the scoring on 30 minutes as Joao Cancelo showed great control to collect a pass from Phil Foden before slotting past Simon Mignolet.
The visitors were then awarded a penalty on the stroke of halftime, which the returning Mahrez calmly slotted home for his second goal of the tournament.
Kyle Walke and Cole Palmer added to City's advantage in the second half while Mahrez completed his brace late on after Hans Vanaken had pulled a goal back for Brugge.
Besiktas 1-3 Sporting Lisbon
Sporting Lisbon got their first win in Group after defeating Besiktas 3-1 at Vodafone Park on Tuesday evening.
The Portuguese champions opened the scoring on 15 minutes through Sebastian Coates, but were pegged back by Cyle Larin in the 24th minute.
Coates restored Sporting's lead in the 27th minute before Pablo Sarabia added a third goal a minute before the halftime break.
The Portuguese giants did manage to grab a fourth goal with a minute left on the clock thanks to Paulinho.
