Inter Milan 2-0 Borussia Dortmund
Inter Milan revived their UEFA Champions League campaign after getting their first victory with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in Group F on Wednesday evening at the San Siro Stadium.
Lautaro Martinez broke the deadlock for Inter in the 22nd minute and he should have grabbed his brace with eight minutes remaining from the penalty spot but his spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Roman Burki. The penalty missed did not matter in the end, as Antonio Candreva sealed the three points in the last minute.
Benfica 2-1 Olympique Lyonnais
Benfica kept their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages after winning their first match of the campaign with a 2-1 victory over Olympique Lyonnais in Group G on Wednesday evening at Estadio da Luz.
Rafa Silva got an early opener for the hosts but only for Memphis Depay to level matters for Lyon with 20 minutes remaining. However, substitute Pizzi snatched the winner for Benfica with five minutes remaining, to earn them their first three points.
Lille 1-1 Valencia
Second-half substitute Jonathan Ikone scored deep in stoppage time salvage a 1-1 draw for Lille against ten-man Valencia in Group H on Wednesday night at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
After a goalless first stanza, Denis Cheryshev broke the deadlock for Valencia in the 63rd minute before the Spanish side were reduced to ten men with six minutes remaining after Mouctar Diakhaby got a second yellow card and was sent off.
However, Lille rallied back towards the end and found the equaliser deep in added time thanks to Ikone.
RB Salzburg 2-3 Napoli
Napoli maintained their top position in Group E after edging RB Salzburg 3-2 courtesy of a brace from Dries Martins in a five-goal thriller on Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena.
Mertens' brace for Carlo Ancelotti's charges was matched by another double from Erling Haaland for Salzburg, but substitute Lorenzo Insigne netted the winner for Partenopei.

The game look destined to end in a draw until Michy Batshuayi popped up with the winning goal in the 86th minute.
RB Leipzig 2-1 Zenit
RB Leipzig got back to winning ways in Group G with a come-from-behind win over Zenit on Tuesday evening.
Konrad Laimer and Marcel Sabitzer got the goals for the Bundesliga side to cancel out Yaroslav Rakitskiy's opener for Zenit.
