Teams: Real Madrid vs Club Brugge
Date: 1 October
Venue: Santiago Bernabeu
Los Blancos will host a resolute Club Brugge on Tuesday, with the Belgian club having kept six clean sheets in their past eight Champions League matches.
Brugge are also unbeaten in their past nine matches in the European competition, although they will be going up against the most established side in the tournament's history.
Real have won the Champions League 13 times, with their most recent triumph coming in the 2017/18 season, which was the completion of a three-peat and their fourth UCL trophy in five years.
Los Blancos go into the match off the back of a 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid in LaLiga, a game in which they enjoyed the majority of the possession and had arguably the better chances.
Real started their UCL campaign with a poor 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes, while Brugge drew 0-0 with Galatasaray at home.
Following his recent impressive form, Bafana Bafana international Percy Tau has been included in the Brugge starting line-up for his Champions League debut.
Here are the starting line-ups for the match:
Real Madrid: Courtois, Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Eden Hazard, Vazquez, Benzema.
Club Brugge: Mignolet, Mata, Mechele, Deli, Ricca, Rits, Vanaken, Vormer, Tau, Dennis, Diatta.
