Real Madrid have won only one of their past four games, but will hope to book their ticket to the UEFA Champions League knockout stages against APOEL tonight – here's how the teams will line up.
UEFA Champions League
Teams: APOEL vs Real Madrid
Date: 21 November 2017
Venue: GSP Stadium
Los Blancos dropped to second place in Group H after losing 3-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last time around. Real won their first two games in the group, including a 3-0 victory over APOEL at home, before getting just one point from their two encounters with Spurs.
Nevertheless, they comfortably sit in second place with seven points – five ahead of Borussia Dortmund and APOEL – and a win tonight would see them qualify for the last 32.
So far, Real have a 100% record against the Cypriot side, winning all three of their previous encounters with an overall goal difference of 11-2. However, this game might just be coming at the right time for APOEL as Zinedine Zidane's struggling side have won just one of their past four games in all competitions.
While Cristiano Ronaldo has scored just one goal in La Liga so far, he has netted six times in this season's Champions League already. The Portuguese has now scored 16 goals in his last nine games in the Champions League, and will hope to find his scoring boots in Nicosia tonight.
Here is how both teams will line up:
APOEL: Perez, Lago, Rueda, Pote, Vinicius, Zahid, Sallai, Morais, Vouros, Aloneftis, Carlao.
Real Madrid: Casilla; Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo; Kroos, Modric, Vazquez, Asensio; Benzema, Ronaldo.
