Paris Saint-Germain completely dismantled Celtic after netting seven goals in what was a highly impressive 7-1 win in their UEFA Champions League Group B match at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.
It was the perfect start for Celtic who took the lead in the first minutes when Moussa Dembele found the back of the net with a deflected shot from the edge of the box, 1-0.
That was about as good as it got for Celtic who conceded their first goal of the night in the ninth minute when Adrien Rabiot played Neymar through on goal and he made not mistake with just the keeper to beat, 1-1.
PSG took the lead in the 22nd minute when a precise pass from Marco Verratti into the box was expertly turned home by Neymar for his second goal of the night, 2-1.
On the half hour mark, Edinson Cavani made it three for PSG when a superb solo run saw him work his way into the box before firing beyond the keeper, 3-1.
Five minutes later PSG found their fourth goal when a superb through ball saw Kylian Mbappe break behind the Celtic defence and he proceeded to beat the keeper in a one-on-one, 4-1.
Celtic managed to get into the tunnel for half time without conceding another goal.
Things did not get any better for the Scottish team in the second half and it was only a matter of time before PSG scored another goal.
The French side got their fifth goal in the 76th minute when Marco Verratti pounced on a loose ball inside the box and fired it home from roughly 12-yards out, 5-1.
Three minutes later, Cavani made it six with a thunderous volley from just inside the box which found the bottom corner of the net, 6-1.
The icing on the cake for PSG was their eighth goal in the 81st minute when Dani Alves found the corner of the net with a stinging 25-yard shot, 7-1.
The result sees PSG at the top of Group B with 15 points followed by Bayern Munich on 12 points.
