Date: 06 March 2018
Liverpool advanced to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, despite playing to a goalless draw against FC Porto at Anfield on Tuesday.
Jurgen Klopp's men entered the tie with a healthy lead, having secured a 5-0 win in the first leg.
After a quiet start to the half, the Reds nearly broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Sadio Mane's acrobatic effort sailed just over the crossbar.
The woodwork came to Porto's rescue in the 31st minute when James Milner's low strike crashed off the post after an error in the Porto defence.
That proved to be the last clear-cut chance of the opening stanza, as the visitors failed to register a shot at Loris Karius' goal.
Porto managed to carve out an opening after 52 minutes as Abdul Majeed Waris did well to shrug off Joe Gomez before unleashing low strike that Karius palmed away.
Ten minutes later, Iker Casillas came to Porto's rescue as the former Real Madrid shot-stopper pulled off an impressive save to keep out Danny Ings' header.
Klopp opted for a surprising change with 15 minutes as he withdrew Mane for top scorer Mohamed Salah despite leading comfortably in the tie.
Despite the introduction of the in-form Egypt, the Reds failed to break down the visitors and had to settle for a goalless draw although they won the tie 5-0 on aggregate.
