Zenit Maintain Winning Start

Zenit St Petersburg 2-1 Gent

Zenit St Petersburg maintained their winning start to the group stage campaign, as they recorded a 2-1 win over Belgian outfit, Gent, on Tuesday night.

Antyom Dzyuba handed the Russian side the lead in the 35th minute, as he headed home Hulk's cross from the right.

Gent leveled matters in the 56th minute via a volley from Thomas Matton, before Zenit sealed the win in the 67the minute courtesy of a strike from Oleg Shatov.

BATE Borisov 3-2 AS Roma

BATE picked up their first win of the group stage, after they earned a 3-2 win over AS Roma at the ​City Stadium.

The host raced into a three-goal lead in the first half thanks to a brace from Filip Mladenovic and a solitary strike from Ihar Stasevich.

While, second-half strikes from Gervinho and Vasilis Torosidis proved to be nothing more than a consolation for Roma.

Maccabi Tel Aviv 0-2 Dynamo Kiev 

Dynamo Kiev secured their fist victory in the campaign with a 2-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in Ukraine on Tuesday evening.

Andriy Yarmolenko handed Kiev the lead after just four minutes, before Junior Moraes sealed the win for the visitors in the 51st minute.

Olympique Lyonnais 0-1 Valencia

Valencia bounced back from their opening-day defeat to secure a narrow 1-0 win over Olympique Lyonnaisat the Stade de Gerland.

The only goal of the game arrived just before the when Algerian winger, Sofiane Feghouli, who rifled home an effort in off the post from the edge of the area.
