Date: 16 March 2016
Venue: Camp Nou
Barcelona secured their spot in the Champions League quarterfinal with a 5-1 aggregate win over Arsenal.
The first real opening of the game arrived in the 15th minute when David Ospina produced a brilliant save to deny Lione Messi from three-yards out.
However, the home side went ahead a minute later when Neymar collected a pass from Luis Saurez, before calmly slotting past Ospina.
The goal seemed to have given Arsenal a lift and they nearly leveled matters just before the halftime break, as Alexi Sanchez headed inches wide of the upright.
Arsenal pulled a goal goal shortly after the halftime break, as Sanchez teed up Mohamed Eleny, who fired a brilliant effort into the top corner.
Barcelona restored their lead in the 64th minute, as Dani Alves whipped a cross into the box and found Suarez, who turned home the cross with a sublime volley.
The Gunners nearly hit back a minute later through Danny Welbeck but the striker's left-footed shaved the top of crossbar.
Arsenal continued to surge forward in search of a second goal but Marc Ter Stegen produced a fine save to keep out Sanchez's free-kick in the 79th minute.
The home side sealed the win in the 88th minute courtesy of a wonderful lob from Lionel Messi to secure the victory and their spot in the last eight.
