Ronaldo failed to score in the Champions League for the first time this season, but remains at the top of the competition’s goalscorer ranking. He still holds a massive advantage over second-placed duo Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
Both netted twice in the Reds' 5-2 against AS Roma on Tuesday, taking their tally to 10 strikes – the joint-best ever return in a Champions League campaign by a Liverpool player.
Sadio Mane also found the back of the net in the English side's 5-2 drubbing of Roma, and now sits in fourth place after becoming only the third African player – behind Salah this season and Samuel Eto’o in 2010/11 – to score eight goals in a single Champions League campaign.
Edin Dzeko is the only other player from the 10 top UCL scorers this season, who is still in the competition, and the Roma forward netted once to move into sixth place.
