Cristiano Ronaldo remained in a league of his own in the UEFA Champions League goalscoring chart, but three Africans can also be found among the 12 most dangerous players in this season’s competition.

The Portuguese also became the first player to score in the first eight UCL matches in a single campaign, having scored 12 goals in 2017/18 already.
With only Edinson Cavani and Gonzalo Higuain from the competition’s top scorers this season on the score sheet this week as well, Ronaldo opened up a five-goal gap to the second spot.
Cavani, Harry Kane and Roberto Firmino sit in joint-second, while African duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are two of four players, who follow with six strikes.
Higuain, whose goal helped Juventus to eliminate Tottenham Hotspur from the competition on Wednesday, took his tally to five strikes – sharing the final spot in the ranking with Philippe Coutinho, Vincent Aboubakar and Robert Lewandowski.
