A teenage sensation, who has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid, continued his fine form on Wednesday night with another record-breaking performance in the UEFA Champions League.
Erling Braut Haaland climbed to the top of the 2019/20 Champions League goalscoring standing when he netted twice during RB Salzburg's 3-2 defeat to Napoli this week.
In doing so, the 19-year-old wonderkid took his tally to six for the European campaign, and 20 in 13 appearances across all competitions, and he also broke two Champions League records in the process, according to the Daily Mirror.
Haaland's UCL haul of six goals this season saw him become first player ever to reach that tally after just three matches in the competition, as well as the first teenager to score six goals in a single UCL campaign.
The Norway international netted hat-trick in his side's opening day win over Genk before scoring against reigning European champions Liverpool in Salzburg's next match. He then netted a brace on Wednesday to climb to the top of the goalscoring standings.
The towering forward is the son of former Leeds United and Manchester City midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland, and has been tipped to follow in his father's footsteps with a move to the Premier League in the future.
