Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain go head to head for a second successive season in the Champions League knockout round, but this time the Paris side won’t be wanting a repeat of last season’s result.
The two teams are currently level at 1-1 after the first game, which saw Branislav Ivanović give Chelsea a first-half lead and Edinson Cavani replying just after the break.
In last season’s quarter-final, PSG won the home leg 3-1 and Chelsea prevailed with a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge to advance on away goals.
The Blues are looking to reach the last eight for the fourth time in five years and the seventh time in the last nine Champions League campaigns, while PSG are targeting a third successive appearance in the quarter-finals.
In UEFA competition Chelsea have lost a two leg tie three times on the eight occasions they have drawn their first leg away from home.
PSG on the other hand have drawn their first home legs 11 times in UEFA competition and won five of those ties on aggregate.
It must also get pointed out that the side from Paris have won seven of their last 15 Champions League away games, losing just four.
Here’s how the teams line up:
Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Fabregas, Matic; Ramires, Oscar, Hazard; Diego Costa
Paris Saint-Germain: Sirigu; Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, David Luiz, Maxwell; Thiago Motta, Matuidi, Verratti, Pastore; Cavani, Ibrahimović
