Kylian Mbappe set a new UEFA Champions League record on Wednesday night, one not even Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi has achieved.
After netting four goals over two legs against FC Barcelona in the round of 16, the 22-year-old netted a brace in Paris Saint-Germain's 3-2 win at Bayern Munich this week.
This was the Bavarians' first defeat in the competition since March 2019, making the victory even sweeter for PSG.
Mbappe was once again the man of the hour, scoring his side's first and third goals of the encounter.
Following his two strikes, and in addition to his hat-trick at the Camp Nou recently, the France star has become the first player in Champions League history to score five away goals in the round of 16 and quarter-finals in the same season of a UCL campaign.
Overall, the Frenchman has now netted eight times in the UCL this season – only Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has more, with 10 goals.
