Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has branded the English as ‘sore losers’ after recent reports have surfaced that he attempted to bite yet another opponent.
A video has emerged in the media allegedly showing Suarez trying to bite Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis, but footage from another angle revealed that to be untrue.
Suarez is angered by the recent allegations and labelled the English as sore losers, because he knocked them out of the World Cup.
"The English are sore losers. Every little thing Suarez does is made into something giant and is exaggerated, like everything in England,” he told Sport 890, as quoted by the Daily Star.
"They must be hurting because of the World Cup, which is what they live for.
"They forget the years I lived there, the respect I deserve as a professional.
"I'll be grateful to the people of Liverpool for the rest of my life and the fans too, they have nothing to do with the English press."
Suarez also revealed why he left for Barcelona and said the talk around the Demichellis incident is just an attempt to put him down.
"I came to Barcelona to help out, to win silverware. I'm doing my job and helping the team a lot,” he added.
“What happened with Demichelis? There is proof that he placed his hand under my throat. The English press are always looking to involve me in something and make me look bad.”
Suarez has been in trouble for biting on three occasions already.
